Dear Colleagues, This is the final circular for the 8th Biennial Workshop of the APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP2019), which will be held April 10-12, 2019 in Denver, CO. Registration is still open, see below for deadlines. Scientific Program: -------------------------------------------------------------- Find detailed information and the program for the GHP2019 workshop at: https://www.jlab.org/indico/event/282/ The program consists of plenary and specialized parallel sessions. There are a large number of invited talks, both in the plenary and parallel sessions. We also received a significant number of contributed talks. Plenary talks are 30 min, parallel talks are 25 min, all including discussions. On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, starting at 6 pm, we will hold the business meeting of the APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP). During the business meeting, we will congratulate the newly named APS Fellows, nominated through GHP, as well as the Dissertation Award winner. There will also be presentations by representatives from DOE, NSF, BNL and JLab. We encourage everybody to attend. Venue: -------------------------------------------------------------- The workshop will take place at: Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel 1550 Court Pl, Denver, CO 80202 Important housing information: -------------------------------------------------------------- Participants should arrange their own accommodation, as there are no more rooms available at the Sheraton through the APS April meeting housing page. If you have not already made housing arrangements, we recommend you do so as soon as possible, there will be a city-wide convention at the same time. Workshop dinner: -------------------------------------------------------------- An important social event of the GHP workshop series is the workshop dinner which will take place on: Thursday, April 11, 2019, starting at 7 pm, at 1515 Restaurant, 1515 Market St., within walking distance of the venue. https://www.1515restaurant.com/ The cost of the dinner is $50/person. Payment must be made during registration. Dear Colleagues,
The 8th Biennial Workshop of the APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP2019) will be held April 10-12, 2019 in Denver, CO. The workshop provides a great opportunity for nuclear and particle physicists to meet and discuss their common interests in hadronic interactions.
The workshop precedes the APS April Meeting 2019 and will take place at the same venue, the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.
Abstract submission and registration are now open, see below for deadlines.
A PDF copy of the workshop poster is available for download. We would appreciate it if you would post it prominently, or distribute it to interested colleagues.
Scientific Program:
The scientific program will consist of invited and contributed presentations. Contributed abstracts are welcome, particularly from early career researchers.
Workshop topics include:
- Light- and heavy-quark mesons & baryons
- Exotic hadrons
- Transverse and longitudinal structure of hadrons
- Hadron tomography and hadronization
- Neutrino-hadron interactions
- QCD effects in nuclei
- Physics of the quark-gluon plasma
- Physics of gluon saturation
- EFT approaches in hadron physics
- Lattice QCD and other non-perturbative approaches
- Future facilities

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, we will hold the business meeting of the APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP). During the business meeting, we will congratulate the newly named APS Fellows, nominated through GHP, as well as the Dissertation Award winner. We encourage everybody to attend.
Venue, accommodation and travel information:
The workshop will take place at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, 1550 Court Pl. Participants should arrange their own accommodation. We recommend booking early, as there will be a city-wide convention at the same time. APS has secured a special rate at the Sheraton for the dates around the April Meeting.
Thus, it is important that you do not contact the hotel directly but book your room online via the APS April Meeting site.
Workshop dinner:
There will be a social dinner on April 11, 2019, at a restaurant within walking distance of the conference venue.
The cost of the dinner is $50/person. Payment must be made during registration. Details about the dinner will be posted on the meeting website when the location is confirmed.
