Description
Coherent exclusive reactions with nuclei give access to nuclear generalized parton distributions (GDPs) which can be used to perform a three-dimensional tomography of bound nuclear states in quark and gluon degrees freedom. I will give an overview of existing phenomenology on nuclear GPDs, highlighting that for the lightest nuclei we have targets that have a simpler (4He, spin zero) and richer (deuteron, spin 1) GPD structure. Additionally, in incoherent exclusive reactions on nuclei, medium modifications of bound nucleon GPDs can be probed.
I will discuss upcoming measurements at existing (JLab) and future (electron-ion collider) facilities that will provide measurements for these reactions.
