Description
Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) parameterize the non-perturbative part of the amplitudes for deep exclusive hadronic processes, and encode partonic information simultaneously in longitudinal momentum and transverse impact parameter position.
Particular interest in accessing GPDs comes from the information they contain on the quark and gluon energy momentum tensors, potentially unravelling the Gravitational Form Factors (GFFs) for the mass, angular momentum, and force distributions inside hadrons.
An extensive exclusive reaction program to measure GPDs is currently being carried out at the Thomas Jefferson Accelerator Facility, as will be performed at the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). In this talk we will discuss the status of these programs, with an emphasis on the complementarity between the current and future facilities.
