Meals and Social events

  1. There will be a welcome event on Wednesday June 18.  FIU students will gather around 5:30PM on the downstairs floor of the FIU library (see campus map) at the tables/seats behind the Starbucks.  They will take you to dinner around 6PM somewhere near campus and you will have a chance to get to know each other already.  
  2. All school meals will be served in the Graham Center.  For most of those we can use the 8th ST kitchen cafeteria (breakfast/lunch/dinner for those who opted in).  Exceptions are the first few days Thu/Fri/Sat dinner will be served in to-go boxes just outside the cafeteria (it's a non-class week and the cafeteria is not open for breakfast).  The same is true for the first day Thursday dinner for those who opted in.
  3. Other meals will be covered at FIU per diem rates (Sunday for instance), keep receipts to be sure.
  4. We will have a social event after the student talks on Wednesday.
  5. We can explore options for an activity on Sunday for those who would be interested.
