Axion-like particles (ALPs) are hypothetical pseudoscalars found in many extensions to the Standard Model. Recently, MeV-to-GeV scale, henceforth QCD-scale, ALPs have received considerable interest. The A2 tagged photon facility at the Mainz Microtron (MAMI) allows for high-precision photo-nuclear studies.
