Visting and Registration
Attendees that are not JLab staff or have a JLab site badge must register for site access. Foreign national approval require more information and time. Michael Dion will be your host. Guest registration information is provided in the invitation email.

Check-In and Parking
The JLab site is “open” with each building secured via badge access. The main building is CEBAF Center (CC) shown below in the image. This is where the workshop will be held and also contains a kiosk for visitor check-in. We will meet there on Tue (3/31) morning at 8 am.
There are a few visitor parking spots near CC but parking is also available in the main lot. A parking decal is not required.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
· Learn basics on dosimetry measurements and computer simulation of dose distribution within medical products.
· Learn how to use PUFFIn for various applications including:
· Determining how the dose distribution is influenced by the type of radiation, energy of radiation, the product design, the packaging design, the shipper box arrangement, and the orientation relative to the radiation beam.
· For a specific product and/or packaging design, how the dose distribution compares between cobalt-60 gamma, electron beam, and X-ray irradiation.
· Learn how to import a CAD geometry to calculate a 3D dose distribution map.
· Calculation of the maximum and minimum dose ratio and associated locations, which can be used to identify optimal dosimetry locations.
· The workshop comes with extensive documentation and step by step instructions.
