Description
Collider luminosity is an important quantity used for normalization of all measured physics observables. Its determination is done exployting bremsstrahlung (BS) photons. The BS photons generate a signal in an electromagnetic calorimeter consisting of Cherenkov photons, which are read by Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs).
This presentation is focused on direct method of luminosity measurement at the EIC. The work consists of experimental determination of the basic working characteristics of the SiPM sensors (capacitance, leakage current, resistance, breakdown voltage) measured with a RLC meter. Furthermore, the work includes basic electrical simulations of SiPM output in LTspice.
