Description

VIRTUE (Virtual Interactive Reality Toolkit for Understanding the EIC) is an event display and detector visualization application developed for the future Electron-Ion Collider. The application allows users to explore three-dimensional models of the ePIC detector and view simulated collision events on desktop, mobile, and virtual reality platforms. VIRTUE supports detector geometries and event data provided through open file formats and includes tools for converting EDM4eic simulation output into a format that can be displayed within the application. This poster describes the design and implementation of VIRTUE and discusses its applications for detector visualization, education, and outreach.
