The workshop (see the mirror LNF-INFN page at https://agenda.infn.it/event/33338/) is dedicated to development of the new tools in kaon identification, needed to accomplish the studies of the 3D structure of the nucleon using strange particles, which is part of the approved physics  program of JLab.

The motivation: "Finalizing the identification of Kaons with CLAS12 and development of the physics program of JLab upgrade will be important for the future of the Lab in general, and CLAS12, in particular.

Development of AI based, new methods for particle identification in general, and kaon pion separation, in particular, will reduce the systematics in studies of the 3D structure using the Semi-Inclusive DIS.
considered as a high priority for nuclear science.
